is an unincorporated city serviced by Phoenix. Boasting over 21,000 residents, this small town community has the best class of amenities found anywhere. Anthem AZ began in 1998 by Del Webb Corporation, a leader in active adult communities; this was their first foray into ‘family lifestyle’ communities. And what a success it was! This huge project was pegged for a 20 year sell out, it was 95% sold out in under 10 years. Subject to the real estate boom/bust of 2004-2008, things looked rather bleak for the community in the bust years. Now, the community is flourishing and highly desired by families, vacation home owners, and retirees.
Set on 5856 acres at the base of Daisy Mountain and Gavilan Peak, elevations range from 1760-2428 feet. At these elevations the area is slightly cooler with a better air quality than lower elevations in the valley. Some of the homes offer striking views of the mountain ranges and valley below. 36% of the community is designated park or open spaces.
Anthem Az Community Center is the heart of the community, all ages enjoy an Olympic resort pool, lap lanes, water slide, spa, sauna, locker rooms, indoor basketball court, rock climbing wall,dance studio, child care, teen club room, 6 lighted tennis courts, a community park with catch and release fishing ponds, a kiddie train, softball, baseball, and soccer fields, amphitheater, dog park for the 4 legged family members, skate park and playground. The area is serviced by Deer Valley Unified School District and houses 5 K-8 elementary schools: Anthem Elementary, Canyon Spring Elementary, Diamond Canyon Elementary, Gavilan Peak Elementary, and New River Elementary. Boulder Creek High School services the community and offers many advanced academics and dual enrollment with Rio Salado Community College. In addition to public schools, there are many charter and private school options in Anthem, including North Valley Christian Academy a very popular choice.
Anthem Country Club is situated against Daisy Mountain offering sweeping views of the Sonoran Desert, the Northern Phoenix foothills, and stunning golf course views. The guard gated community houses two world class private country clubs, and 36 holes of golf. The Persimmon and the Ironwood courses each have a unique clubhouse with fitness centers, swimming pools, spas, lighted tennis facilities, locker rooms, and restaurants. Residents within Anthem Country Club are entitled to social memberships at both clubs as part of their home owner dues, golf is extra and several membership options are available.

Because the neighborhood is gated, offers single level plans, and a wealth of country club amentites it is highly regarded as a second home spot, approx. 35% of the homes are second or seasonal home owners.
