Best Places to Live in Phoenix: Fireside at Desert Ridge

Top 10 Family  Neighborhoods with a Community Pool

We are often asked where are the best places to live in Phoenix? The answer to that depends of course on a series of questions we would then ask of you. To help answer that question we have decided to create a blog series on the topic Best Places to Live in Phoenix.

Since we are kicking this off during Memorial Day week, it’s only appropriate that we start the series with top family neighborhoods that feature community pools. We will highlight the top 10 neighborhoods in Phoenix that are derived as such by a variety of factors.

This week’s pick for best places to live in Phoenix is number 6 on the countdown: Fireside at Desert Ridge.

Why Fireside at Desert Ridge?

Was developed by Del Webb in the early 2000’s and despite kicking off at the peak of the market and the subsequent crash, this community sold well and sold fast. Chosen as a Phx Magazine ‘Best Places to Live’ in the luxury category 2013, it’s easy to see why…take a look.

1) Location, Location, Location…..right at Desert Ridge, this community began the growing trend for ‘suburban-urban’. With employment centers, major shopping and dining venues, and easy freeway access to other parts of the valley.

2) Spanning 270 acres and 900 homes, the community is small and shares a lavish 12,000 sq ft community center with a focus on keeping fit and active. Amenities include a workout facility, yoga/dance studio, swimming pool, parks, kid’s activities, and a community center with a demonstration kitchen, billiards, and more. All focusing on quality family time and connecting with neighbors.

3)Schools. Families with kids love this community for the excellent Paradise Valley School District, particularly Pinnacle High School, which has recently been named the top high school in the state, and ranked in the top 300 schools nationwide.

With the housing options in Fireside at Desert Ridge your choices are varied, including townhomes for a lock and leave easy going lifestyle, perfect for the busy professional or a great choice for a second or vacation home, to mid size and larger homes up to 4500 sq ft. Prices range from the mid 200s to the 800s.
