Welcome West Valley Arts HQ!

Coming to Surprise Az in July the arts have  a prominent new home- The Arts HQ.     Reception and Ribbon Cutting Event July 24th 6pm-8 pm

About the Arts HQ

West Valley Arts Council will utilize 2,500 square feet located in the space formerly occupied by the Heard Museum West. The Arts HQ is destined to become the West Valley’s gathering place for artistic inspiration, and will serve as the official headquarters for arts and cultural information for our region’s residents and visitors.

The Arts HQ Opening Reception and Ribbon Cutting will be held on July 24th from 6pm to 8 pm. There is no charge to attend the reception or to visit the gallery. The reception will include wine, beer, and refreshments. The ribbon cutting will take place at 6:30 pm, and will feature Surprise Mayor Sharon Wolcott as well as members of the Surprise City Council.

The gallery is located north of Surprise City Hall at 16126 N Civic Center Plaza. Summer gallery hours will be Tuesday through Thursday 10 am -5 pm, and Fridays 10 am -2 pm. The inaugural art exhibit, Blank  Canvas, will showcase local artists.  The Blank Canvas exhibit will run from July 24th through Sept 12, 2014.  Beginning Sept 26th – Nov 11th, Arts HQ will host an exhibit in conjunction with PIR featuring artist Bill Patterson official artist of Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca and his colorful ‘live art’ .
