About Buckeye Az Real Estate

Buckeye sits on the western edge of the Phoenix metro area, nestled between the White Tank Mountains and the confluence of the Gila and Hassayampa rivers. Forbes magazine named it the fastest growing city in 2008, and it is still ranking high growth today. The current population is estimated at 52,000 with a projected growth of over 200,000 by 2020, it is one of the largest ‘small towns’ in Arizona.

Farming is still a big part of Buckeye, with crops yielding cotton, soy beans, alfalfa and grain. A recent agreement with the Bureau of Land Management will provide access into the White Tank Mountains Regional Park directly from Buckeye, and guarantee future generations will enjoy pristine hiking, mountain biking, and trail rides. This new access area will feature parking, camping, and covered picnic areas.

Big things are in the plans for future Buckeye developments. Housing and residents are predicted to grow a whopping 630% through 2030. Douglas Ranch will be one of the largest private community developments in the US. Intersected by the proposed Interstate 11, the community is 33,810 acres and is predicted to house 293,000 residents, with plenty of commercial and mixed use space. This will be a fun ‘small town’ to watch.
