How do I Petition for Review of Valuation for Maricopa Property Taxes?

By now you should have received your 2018 Property Valuation Notice. It’s important to review this document to make sure you are being properly assessed for property taxes. If you did not recieve this notice in the mail you can call 602-506-3406 or request an eNotice here.

One of the biggest factors is the Valuation Legal Class. Pursuant to A.R.S s42-12003, class 3 property is used as the owner’s primary residence or that is leased/rented to a qualifying family member of the owner and used as  primary residence.  If your property fits this description and is  a class 4 non primary, you will want to appeal by the April 18th 2017 deadline.

Sometimes the valuations get out of line resulting in a much higher than expected assessment. If you feel that your valuation is not correct the appeal process is now, by the time your tax bill arrives in September, there is no way to appeal it at that time. You can learn more about how to appeal: Petition for Review of Valuation.
